Cute, almost childlike, story book illustration

Seems a little bit bland though, but that might be your point - to make it have an almost sleepy look. A little more colour or at least a little more hues wouldn't hurt. I think you can add a little more detail to the background to make it look better. Not enough to make it look like a complete drawing of course since you want doodly things, but still a little more lines wouldn't hurt. Like do sketchy sort of lines instead of solid one, then it still looks like a sketch. Right now you only have single lines making up shapes, it kind of makes it look too unfinished. There also seems to be a lot of blank space, maybe position the lyrics better ? Have you tried overlappping? I'm not sure if I like that cloud either... it sems a little too cartoony (flat in shading and too bold of an outline) and a little too round in it's shape and that makes it seem blocky. Have you thought about doing elongated and more whispier lookiign clouds?

Sorry for being an ass XD. But I just realized that it says "Advanced Critique Encouraged" and I know this is for school and grades so I tried to do the best I can. It's a very sweet image Those are just my suggestions, you do whatever you like. You're the artist after all so you know the best ways to bring your ideas to light ^^

I really did try to squish the lyrics in, I underestimated the space the stars would take and that left not much room >.< Ah well, better planning next time.
And whispy clouds would have been nice!!! Why didn't I think of that??
